Welcoming new physiotherapist Pheobe onto our team ⭐️⭐️⭐️ She’s been an excellent addition to our physio team. Her special interests are vestibular rehabilitation, Parkinson’s disease, musculoskeletal conditions and chronic pain. Outside of physio, Phoebe enjoys running and trying out new activities such as ceramics!

Have you heard about the recent changes the NDIS are making that will effect all allied health but more specifically, Physiotherapists?

This directly impacts our business as many of our clients see us for specialised Physiotherapy to recover from stroke, brain injuries or to maintain their health with progressive neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease or MND. These cuts will have a direct impact on potentially how often our clients can see us or our ability to structure our sessions on a golf course or up at the snow where it is meaningful for our clients.

We’re always excited to meet with amazing local businesses to collaborate to further help our patients 🌱 Kate is a Senior Orthotist at Orthotics Plus and presented us with their wide range of ankle-foot orthoses suitable for our neurological patient population. Sally is an optometrist at EyeQ Optometrists in Burwood and she explained her extensive understanding of neurological and vestibular conditions related to the eye. We are always open to connect with more local businesses in the area! Thank you to Kate and Sally for sharing their time and knowledge with us.

With Spring in sessiom it's golf season at .
They say it takes a village to raise a baby, but in our case it takes a village to help us get our clients to reach their goals.

Over the last month we've been busy doing lots of training with support workers and allied health assistants so that they can help support our clients on the golf course!

Also, we are incredibly excited to have 2 teams playing in this year's 's golf charity event next month. 🥳

Wondering what we get up to in strength and balance classes? Practicing our balance whilst playing badminton! 🏸

Did you know balance can be improved? However you need to keep practicing and working at it otherwise it will go backwards again.

Do you need some motivation to work on your strength and balance? We currently run these classes on Tuesdays 11.45am and Fridays 12pm. (Spots are limited).

Lupus is a disease that is close to our hearts as we have seen first hand the devastation it can cause in someone's life. For the last few years we have been participating in Lupus Victoria 's annual golf charity event to help raise funds for research. Finally, a new medication has been listed on the PBS for Lupus sufferer's!

For many of the conditions we treat, it makes a huge difference if our clients are able to take disease modifying or disease preventing medications. We hope this will help our clients who suffer from Lupus.

Last weekend Joy and Scott headed up to Mt Buller to complete their new guide training with
What does that mean? Well, they don't quite have their P plates yet to help guide people on the snow with DWA but it does mean they've taken the first step to becoming official guides.

Both Scott and Joy are proficient snowboarders and have experience getting people with a disability ready to hit the slopes. If you are someone with a disability or you know someone who has a goal to get to the snow, have a chat with us and see if this might be a possibility for you!
