Parent–Child Relationships

Using the 'My Family Gallery' Deck in therapeutic sessions can help clients explore roles, needs, boundaries, areas of conflict, communication, and other aspects of their family dynamics and parent–child relationships.
By using the metaphorical cards to represent specific relationships or meaningful events in their current or past family life, clients can share their feelings and explore the issues that arise through a safe, projective distance.
As themes begin to emerge, the therapist can guide the client to explore their needs within the illustrated scenes, their roles in the relationships depicted, and the inner beliefs these dynamics may have fostered — about themselves and about the world.
The visual depictions of emotional content provide both client and therapist with opportunities to observe, illuminate, and process underlying issues together.
The deck includes a short brochure with ideas for using the cards with teen and adult clients in individual, couples/family, and group therapy settings.

💟My Family Gallery💟 is a unique deck of projective cards designed for therapeutic work with adolescents and adults.

Clients select cards to represent family relationships and events, arranging them into a personal "photo gallery" that serves as a powerful foundation for conversations and creative Interventions.

For example, invite your client to choose a card that represents their current feelings at home.
