There are beautiful, gentle herbs that help calm the nervous system without making you feel flat or foggy. A few favourites I often use in clinic:

🌿 Withania – grounding + restorative
🌼 Passionflower – eases that “tired but wired” feeling

When your nervous system feels safe, your digestion improves. Your hormones settle. Your energy evens out.

Signs you’re dysregulated (and probably don’t realise it):
– Can’t stop scrolling at night
– Wired but exhausted
– Gut flares up around stressful events
– Reacting more than responding

Nervous system regulation isn’t a big fancy protocol. It’s built in the tiny daily things.

So many women I work with are running on empty — not because they’re unmotivated, but because they’re doing so much.

Sometimes your body is just saying:

Feeling wired but tired? Muscles tight? Mind racing before bed?

Magnesium is one of the first things I consider when patients tell me they feel “off but can’t explain it.” It’s gentle but powerful — especially for the nervous system.

But here’s the thing: not all magnesium is equal. The type you take matters.

A few of my go-to forms:

🌙 Magnesium glycinate – calming, gentle on the gut, amazing for anxiety, tension and sleep
🔥 Magnesium threonate – supportive for brain fog and focus (crosses the blood-brain barrier)
💧 Magnesium chloride (topical) – great in a bath or spray if digestion is sensitive

There’s more going on beneath the surface.

One of my favourite herbs for supporting metabolism and gentle, sustainable weight loss is Gynostemma, which I include often in my customised herbal tonics (yep, the ones I mix up fresh for you!).
