Spinal Mouse Australia

Spinal Mouse Australia Professional computer aided assessment device to determine spinal posture in the sagittal and frontal planes, regional and segmental vertebral mobility.

The Spinal Mouse measuring head is guided along the spinal column, automatically adjusting itself to the contours of the back. The relevant clinical data is then wirelessly transferred to a personal computer or laptop. The excellent reliability and high degree of validity of the data has been proven repeatedly in scientific tests. Any desired number of measurements can be tracked for each patient and changes during the course of treatment become apparent.

We are wishing everyone the best during these uncertain times surrounding COVID-19.
For any health professional at home interested in learning more via an online free demo and info session to add to your CPD activity, you are welcome to book in a no-obligation Skype session https://lnkd.in/fzDJ2AU
Here is an en example of how you can quantify a Spinal Examination using the Idiag M360- Standing neutral, flexion and extension. Used for years in research, the Idiag M360 is now available in Australasia to assist clinicians during examinations- by automatically recording results, generating reports with results, patient comparisons to normative data and between repeated tests, and exercise recommendations.
Email us at admin@osteopro.com.au if you have any difficulties booking your session, or if you would like a PDF of links to published studies featuring the IdiagM360 (also referenced as Spinal Mouse/MediMouse).

The Swiss-made Idiag M360 is now available in Australasia (TGA Class 1 Medical Device). Used for years in research, more than 8,000 clinics worldwide now use the M360 to objectively quantify spinal posture and the mobility of spinal regions and each vertebral segment (Often referenced in publications as "Spinal Mouse").

The Idiag Academy in Australasia provides continuing professional education.

Our Story

The Idiag M360 “Spinal Mouse” has been used for years in research and is used by more than 8000 clinics worldwide. The measuring head is guided along the spinous processes during the course of a standard spinal examination by the clinician, in the sagittal and frontal planes. The frontal plane examination is shown below here as an example.

The relevant clinical data is then wirelessly transferred to a personal computer or laptop. The impressive reliability and validity of the data, compared with gold standard X-ray, has been demonstrated in scientific publications and a recent systematic review. Any desired number of measurements can be tracked for each patient and changes during the course of treatment are automatically visualised and reported.

As seen below, the degree of scoliosis can be determined and automatically reported in under 1 minute.

Mobility of each spinal region (thoracic, lumbar and pelvic), as the degrees between standing neutral and end-range side-bending, can then viewed and compared with “normal population” range of motion, and the patient’s changes over time with therapy.
