When I trained students at university, I absolutely loved teaching those subjects where you get to draw all the clues together. And I also geek out on a good mind-map 🤓 . This one shows the inter-relationships between atopic dermatitis, thyroid disease, impact on digestive function, possible SIBO, steroid use and skin barrier dysfunction, steroid withdrawal and how, over time, this has affected adrenal function and glucose regulation.
I use these diagrams with patients and students. They're easy to understand and reduce the need for over-complicated explanations. Less is more.
