Belly Beans Doula

Belly Beans Doula Experienced Melbourne Doula, Melbourne Childbirth Educator (LCCE) I also offer HypnoBirthing.

Belly Beans Doula - Pregnancy, Labour & Birth Support
Postnatal support also available

Are you looking for additional support during your pregnancy, labour and beyond? Have you considered using a Doula?

- A doula supports the emotional and physical (non medical) needs of the birthing mother throughout her pregnancy, labour, birth and early postnatal period
- A doula helps support the father/partner navigate their way through the birth journey, she does not replace them (unless this is requested), she simply enables them to best support the birthing mother, helping to create a calm, safe and loving environment

The birth of your baby is monumental and this experience writes a story you will retell throughout your life. My hope is that however and wherever you choose to birth your baby you will look back on your birth experience with a sense of awe and pride, and that the story you retell will be one of positivity and joy

The final full moons of 2025 promise a spectacular show in the night sky, from fiery eclipses to dazzling supermoons that will leave you in awe. Each lunar event offers a unique way to close out the year, making it the perfect time for stargazers and night-sky photographers alike.

On September 7, a breathtaking Blood Moon Eclipse will turn the Moon a deep crimson as Earth’s shadow engulfs it. Then, on October 7, the first supermoon of the year will rise, appearing larger and brighter as it draws closer to Earth. The spectacle continues on November 5 with the biggest and brightest supermoon of 2025, an unmissable highlight for skywatchers everywhere.

Finally, on December 4, the year ends with a brilliant Supermoon Farewell, lighting up the winter skies in a dazzling finale. Whether you’re watching through a telescope, capturing it with your camera, or simply gazing upward, these final moons of 2025 will be unforgettable celestial moments.

We are saddened to hear news of the passing of Michel Odent, whose vision and writing reshaped the way we understand human birth.

Michel Odent reminded us that birth is not a medical procedure to be controlled, but a primal rythm to be respected. He advocated for home-like maternity units, warm water births, protecting the birthing woman's privacy and honouring her instincts, undisturbed contact between mother and newborn; he was among the first to discuss the importance of the microbiome, and question many of the practices that had (and have) become normalised in overmedicalised maternity systems globally.

Michel Odent's legacy lives on in every dimmed, quiet birthing room, and in every midwife his words and work inspired to join our profession.

Thank you, Michel, for your passion, vision and committment to women and newborns.

Your baby will make their move when they are ready. 🙌
