About Dr Joanne Goh
Dr Joanne Goh is an Australian and internationally trained cataract, corneal and laser eye surgeon. She graduated with Honours from the University of Melbourne and undertook her internship at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. Her ophthalmology training was completed in Perth, Western Australia. Following that, she travelled to the United Kingdom to pursue a further two years of advanced sub-specialty fellowship training in cornea and external eye diseases, cataract surgery and laser eye surgery at the Bristol Eye Hospital and the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
At Moorfields Eye Hospital, the world’s leading specialist eye centre, she was trained by leading authorities in her field and has acquired the latest surgical techniques in corneal transplantation, laser vision correction and anterior segment surgery.
Dr Goh has a special interest in laser vision correction, complex cataract surgery and the management of keratoconus. She also manages a wide range of disorders affecting the cornea, ocular surface and external eye.
She has published and presented her research at conferences nationally and internationally and has won numerous scholarships, awards and grants.
