At Zai’s Massage Therapy, we aim to provide the best care to mothers by offering a mixture of both Western massage techniques and traditional Malay/Indonesian massage techniques enhanced with the use of herbs to restore wellness after birth. Postnatal massage has been a long-standing Asian tradition as a form of therapy and healing regime. Research has proven that mothers who have postnatal massage have lower anxiety and depression levels. Post natal massage rebalance your body after childbirth, softens tight muscles and relieves soreness, reduces fluid retention, relieves constipation, shrinks uterus to pre pregnancy size and assists lactation. Hot compressors or hot stones can be used to ease muscle through deep heat penetration. This provides improved blood circulation, ease back pain and insomnia. This is a technique, which is incorporated with stomach binding to tighten pelvic muscle and relieve breast engorgement. Together with massage, stomach binding is beneficial to firm up stomach and pelvic muscle. It helps to aid posture and relieve back problems. With the use of herbs/oil/cream and special slimming wraps, this will help to contour your body shape. Infant massage not only relaxes and soothes, it also improves blood circulation, aids digestion and helps relieve discomfort from gas, colic and constipation.
