💚 TW: Disordered Eating - this post discusses the topic of disordered eating. If you need support, please know you don’t have to go through this alone. See support services below. 💚

As we begin Body Image and Eating Disorders Awareness Week (1-7 September), it is an important time to remember that anyone can experience challenges with how they feel about their body or their eating behaviours.

These feelings may get in the way of how we live our lives and if we don’t seek support, they can turn into a serious problem.

It’s important to remember that help is available. Check out our full video via the link in our bio for tips on how to change your relationship with food and body image.

Today is International Youth Day, an opportunity for the world to acknowledge and celebrate the vital role that young people play as agents of change and leaders in our society.

We couldn’t think of a better time to highlight just some of the ways our Youth Advisory Group create change in our local communities:

💚 Delivering training for student leaders on wellbeing, advocacy and leadership
💚 Co-designing projects including podcast episodes with mental health professionals and community events
💚 Running social connection programs for young people
💚 Delivering presentations on headspace services

Feeling very grateful today (and every day) for the young people that contribute their time and effort to breaking down stigma around mental health and help-seeking in the community 🫶
