🎓 5 things I wish I knew before starting uni
1. It’s normal to feel nervous or unsure. Lots of people are in the same boat.
2. Use the support that’s there: student services, study workshops, counselling and peer groups. Family members and trusted adults can also support in practical and emotional ways. You don’t have to go it alone.
3. Making friends might take time. Join clubs, study groups or social events to meet people with similar interests.
4. Uni demands self‑management: plan your time, set goals, balance work/study and build a routine that includes self‑care.
5. Stress, overwhelm or doubt are normal. It’s OK to ask for help, re-adjust plans, or take things at your own pace.
No one expects you to have it all figured out, but a little support, flexibility and self‑kindness can go a long way. 💚
