Hi everyone!
Just a bit of an update on whatโs been happening; my neck and shoulder issue continues to bug me but I also continue to do things that might help, it has been a lot of trialing things and eliminating things to see what makes a difference โ๏ธ
This is partly why I love Anatomy and Physiology so much, you can learn and know so much about the body ๐ฉปbut the body still surprises us & sometimes confounds us!
During this process some of the common recommendations have proven to be helpful between physio appointments i.e: magnesium glycynate, heat packs (when not inflamed), gentle stretching particularly after exercise - have had to watch out and avoid โoverstretching โ which I tend to do when in pain and feel desperate for relief.
Strengthening muscles (referring to neck muscles) has been as important as avoiding overuse of neck & shoulder (repetitive actions).
This has been all after proper imaging tests and scans of course - one must always check and rule out urgent care conditions, even then, we know imaging is a great tool but not fail proof & conditions can change for the better or worse, so always always be diligent if something isnโt right & try not to self diagnose (or Google diagnose).
๐ I will continue to work one day a week ๐ Thursday evenings for now
If you need an appointment ๐
and the calendar seems full donโt hesitate to message me as I will try my best to work something out โบ๏ธ
Stay safe & happy weekend until I see you next ๐๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
