Andy’s Solo Travel Story!

With guidance from our OC Connections team at French Street, Andy planned and completed two solo trips across NSW. From mapping out travel to finding affordable places to stay, the focus was on building confidence and independence.

Andy loved the experience and proudly shared these photos from his journey. By sharing his story, Andy hopes to inspire others to take brave steps toward their own goals.

Today is an important milestone for the Bedford community.

With the voluntary administration process now concluded, Bedford Group is formally part of The Disability Trust Group.

Thank you to our participants, families, staff, partners and supporters for being part of the OC Connections community this year. Every connection, effort and shared moment has helped shape the impact we’ve made together.

Recently we came together with our teams at ermha365, Marriott Support Services and OC Connections Enterprises to wrap up our 2025 Employee Excellence Awards. Our celebrations with these three businesses were phenomenal, recognising tenure, outstanding achievements in professional development, and awarding prestigious leadership nominated ‘Excellence Award’ winners.

Across these three Victorian Employee Excellence Award events we proudly recognised a combined total of seventy-two employees for their years of service, including:

- 39 employees who reached 5 years of service,
- 15 employees who marked 10 years of service,
- 9 employees who celebrated 15 years of service,
- 6 employees who achieved 20 years of service,
- 1 employees who reached 30 years of service, and
- 2 remarkable individuals who celebrated an incredible 40 years of service.

Fourteen individuals were celebrated for outstanding achievements through our Excellence Awards. What an honour it is to pay tribute to those who consistently achieve above and beyond, those that others look up to, those who always perform and behave in a manner of an exceptional standard.

As the final chapter of our 2025 celebrations, these events across our Victorian footprint highlight the strength of our workforce and the shared values that connect our Group - The Disability Trust, ermha365, OC Connections and Marriott Support Services. We are incredibly proud of our people and the extraordinary impact they make every day.

OCC recently hosted a Summer Party to celebrate an incredible year and bring together participants, families and friends from across our Community Living and Day Support communities.

More than 130 people joined the celebrations, enjoying live music and a fun raffle, with proceeds proudly supporting the OCC Co-Achieve Fund.

As our Day Service team heads into a well-earned break, services will resume on Monday 5 January 2026.
Wishing all our participants, families, staff and supporters a very Merry Christmas.
