What is a pelvic physio anyway? 🤔
We get this question all the time.
“Is it just Kegels?”
“Do you only see pregnant women?”
“Isn’t it awkward?”
Short answer: no, no… and also no.
Pelvic health physiotherapists have specialised training in assessing and treating the pelvic floor and surrounding structures. We help with:
✔️ Bladder and bowel concerns
✔️ Pelvic pain and painful s*x
✔️ Pregnancy and post-partum recovery
✔️ Prolapse
✔️ Pre- and post-gynaecological surgery
✔️ Endometriosis-related symptoms
✔️ Core and pelvic floor dysfunction
Assessment and treatment may include internal and/or external assessment (always with consent), tailored exercise, manual therapy, education - and honest, normal conversations.
And yes… we do more than just Kegels.
Sometimes we actually teach you not to do them.
