The MAMA VOICE workshop 🩷🩷🩷 Registration is open for NEXT SUNDAY, May 25th!

***This workshop is free of charge***

Much more relaxed than a traditional ‘talk therapy’ session. We work through a series of exercises to help us voice our stories and find different perspectives.

If you have an experience of loss, trauma or heartache in the perinatal period (trying to conceive through 12 mths postpartum) that continues to negatively impact you, this workshop is for you.

This is a safe space free of judgment. I am here to support you and guide you. You don’t have to continue to suffer alone!

You are worthy Mama. You are worthy of love and healing. Remember, the better you are in yourself the better your kids will get to experience their mother 🙏 You are worth it and you matter!!

The sun is out 🩷💃🏼 Walking with my girl = simple pleasure 🩷🩷🩷 She was my last attempt. My body was done trying but she came to me anyway 🙌🙏 All my other pregnancy’s (one successful, three unsuccessful) were boys. Knowing her, with all her fire and wildness, she was not going to miss out 😂🥳🩷 Grateful does not begin to sum it up 🩷🩷🩷

A little while ago, I became a consumer advocate at hospital 🙏 I am on the quality and safety committee and get to share my thoughts, feelings and opinions on current and upcoming plans and projects that directly effect patients and consumers.

Today, I had the privilege of attending The Women’s for an in-house event 🩷🩷🩷 The magnificent Erika Cramer, AKA spoke to us about the skill of confidence and how to increase it 🙏💃🏼 Part of developing this skill is in looking at our heartaches/traumas/tragedies and uncovering the wisdoms we now have as a result 🙌

We all have our stuff, our baggage, and we all have the capacity to shift and grow, learn and experience post traumatic growth 🩷🩷🩷

‘Healing’ is coming back to yourself 🙏 You are forever changed… you have grown and moved from where you were… it may feel as though you’ve gone backwards… but there is only forwards. Post-traumatic growth is real and it is possible 🙏 But the healing must come first 🩷🩷🩷

Thanks to and the generosity of Kensington Neighbourhood House, I am able to offer this workshops series free to participants… the way it should be!

MAMA… the time to start your healing journey is NOW 🩷

If you have a story from your perinatal journey (trying to conceive through to 12 months postpartum) that is weighing you down, this workshop is for you.

This workshop is for you if you’ve experienced perinatal loss (for example miscarriage or still birth), trauma (birth trauma, infertility trauma, trauma breastfeeding or weaning) or heartache (troubles in pregnancy or postpartum).

This workshop is for any woman of ANY AGE (I know some women in their 70s that would benefit from the workshop) who has an experience from the perinatal period that continues to feel heavy.

This workshop is designed to lighten our heartaches by allowing space and time to voice our stories in a radically non judgmental environment.

The workshop is a step towards transforming our tragedies 🩷🩷🩷

Ever feel you’re meant to be steering this ship but have no idea where you’re going or how you’re meant to get there??

Like, every day of motherhood, right?!?!!

I look at my daughter and the way she knows exactly what she wants, and think ‘I used to be like that’! It is my mission to help her stay in her spirit and integrity… the pure, unadulterated version of herself, unspoiled by society (the patriarchy) or me, her parent, all while keeping her safe and guiding her to make healthy choices for herself! Massive mission, right?!

How can we help our children retain the true essence of themselves? Thoughts?

This is the first of a series of Mothers Unleashed workshop events endorsed by 🩷🩷🩷

The Mama voice workshops are for any woman of any age (I know several women in their fifties and sixties who have attended the workshops) who has experienced loss, trauma, or heartache in the perinatal period. This means the period of time spanning trying to conceive, being pregnant, during labour and delivery and up to 12 months post birth. It encompassing experiences such as difficulties trying to fall pregnant, miscarriage and pregnancy loss, stillbirth and postpartum stressors. It is for those who have adopted or fostered a child too. It is for any woman who has a maternal experience weighing heavily on her heart and is designed to be a step in the healing process.

BUT ITS NOT ALL DOOM AND GLOOM 🩷🩷🩷 It is a space designed to empower you and help you release old wounds and get back to YOURSELF 🩷🩷🩷
