Today is 1 week until we open the doors to our clinic 🦓
In case you missed it, we will be located at 14-15/71 Victoria Crescent Abbotsford as of Monday 11th August!
To help you feel at ease ahead of your first visit, here's what you need to know:
🧭 Helpful Landmarks:
You'll find us just behind Gary (a cosy little café) and near the Salvation Army Store on Victoria Crescent (a crowd favourite amongst and our team and community).
🅿️ Parking:
We have a small number of allocated parking bays just steps from our front door. These are clearly marked with 'Zebras Australia' — see the image below so you know exactly where you can (and can't) park.
There's also free parallel street parking on Victoria Crescent, free 90-degree parking on Gipps Street near the bridge and a $5 all-day carpark directly across the road.
There are two accessible parking bays available — look out for the first two bays on the left and right as you enter the carpark.
🚊 Public Transport:
An 8-minute walk from Collingwood Station (Mernda & Hurstbridge lines).
A 7-minute walk from the Church St/Victoria St tram stop, serviced by routes 12, 78 & 109. Some 109 trams are low-floor — check the PTV app for up-to-date information.
🏥 Accessibility:
Our space has been designed with our community and team's physical and sensory needs in mind. We understand that these needs are often different and fluctuating. We have worked closely with our design team, alongside adopting feedback from our Zebras community on what works, and what doesn't.
The beautiful Birrarung (Yarra River) will be right on our doorstep, meaning we'll be surrounded by native trees and serene birdsong. Overall, this creates a much quieter space than over on busy Bridge Road.
🤔 Other information you might find helpful:
- Our ground floor entrance is step free and wheelchair accessible
- There's no door code this time—just walk on in and reception will be to your left
- Our consultation rooms are fitted with acoustic glass, ceiling tiles and plaster to help reduce noise
- We'll have plenty of natural light but we've also fitted warm, dimmable lighting in our consultation rooms and movement spaces
- Alongside air filtration systems, we will have access to natural ventilation
- We have four non-gendered, single-stall bathrooms across the ground and first floor
- There are 19 stairs to access our first floor, which will have the same facilities as the ground floor as well as housing a number of offices and a meeting spaces for our team
- Whilst there is no elevator, accessibility has been thoroughly considered when allocating consultation rooms and booking appointments
If you have any questions please reach out via email (careteam@zebrasaus.com.au) or give us a call (03 9938 0498) if we can do anything more to support your transition into our new space.
We'll see you in Abbotsford!
