Deep Tissue Massage Therapy

Deep Tissue Massage focuses on relieving muscle tension and associated pain and discomfort; assisting in returning your muscles back to their normal function. This means holding your posture correctly, moving your body with ease, sitting at a desk comfortably, exercising safely, helping to avoid injury and assisting you to have more energy. We will first discuss your needs for your massage treatment. My focus will be to work through your area/s of muscle tension that are causing isolated and/or referred pain. With regular treatment, your muscles will respond more readily and deeper muscle layers can be released. Although a Deep Tissue Massage involves working deep into the muscles, I believe that the pressure should be at a comfortable level for you and should not be causing you pain as such but what we call ‘good pain’. Because of this I offer firm, medium or light pressures according to your needs and would like you to feel comfortable to let me know if any adjustments are needed throughout your treatment.
