How are things going for you?

Have you been sitting in a space of discontent, low mood, questioning relational dynamics, stressed, anxious and seeking something to change???

The weather can also play with our motivational state BUT it can be different……

Talk therapy comes with more than listening, it can help you feel understood and also understand yourself more.

How good does that feel, just reading that things can be different for you?

How are you?

It’s been awhile since I have posted. I have been working with clients as well as back in a secondary school helping in the well-being team. I have enjoyed being back in team environment and assisting teens. I am still working privately so still have time to see you.

Good news is I have Friday times available.

As a reminder here are my current hours
Mt Eliza - Monday, Tuesday AM, Fridays
Balnarring - Tuesday PM
Evening hours are also available, although do fill fast, if you’d like to be placed on a waitlist please let me know.

This week there are times for Monday, again please make contact if the time is not currently available.

I have been doing this for the past few years. The push-up challenge.

From 5-28 June the aim is to complete 3,249 push-ups (or alternative exercises) representing the 3,249 lives lost to su***de in Australia in 2022.

Today’s target is 52, the benefits of getting into the ocean, even once a week for a year (52 times) improves mental health.
Interesting, my 15yr old came home today saying she went for an unplanned ocean dip and noted that she felt energised. I wonder if she will keep it up for that weekly dip, to continue feeling the benefit.

Who else has done the ocean swimming??

Thought I would change things up abit, by putting the I AM first!

These are reminders that we need to put effort into how we speak to ourselves.
When we hear the I can’t, I don’t want to, it’s too hard, I can’t cope…. It’s important to continue and end the thought that is uplifting, driven, more positive.

End the thought with something that has you move into action, rather than sitting in the negative or low space. Not easy, BUT possible 😀

Are you up for a challenge? As we work together in helping our thoughts move from negative to more positive and kind. I thought I would let you fill in the blank this week.

Remember what we are trying to achieve here - it is working on noticing what we are saying and finishing it off in a kinder, more uplifting way.

We know that talking negative is part of us, but we don’t have to end the thought/sentence with that. It can affect what happens next in our day, mood, reactions.

So, when we notice the thought of hard, or can’t or real challenge that seems impossible. Bring in the coach part of you and say But, I can take this on or but there is always a way out….. etc

Take a few moments and go back over these and see what you can try today.

If you feel comfortable, I would love to hear some in the comments.

And remember you are you, and you, all of you are enough, capable, loveable, uniquely you.
