Ending the week with messages like these always reminds me why I love this work.

Helping young athletes build confidence, manage nerves and enjoy their sport again is incredibly rewarding — but hearing how it’s impacting them (and their families) is the best part.

Mindset skills aren’t just for elite athletes.
They’re life skills.

And when young athletes learn them early, it can completely change how they experience sport.

Grateful for families who trust me to support their kids in this space. 💙

Fear shows up in sport more often than people admit.

Fear of failing.
Fear of not performing.
Fear of letting people down.

Most athletes think the goal is to eliminate fear.

But that’s not how the brain works.

Fear is often just a signal that something matters to you.

The difference between athletes who grow and those who stay stuck isn’t who feels fear…

It’s who refuses to let it make the decision.

The skill isn’t becoming fearless.

The skill is learning how to perform anyway.

Your brain is playing its own game. Here are the rules:
🧠 Rule #1: What you see in your mind, your brain thinks is real. (Practice anywhere, anytime).
🧠 Rule #2: Your brain is programmed to remember the bad stuff. (You have to intentionally focus on the good).
🧠 Rule #3: Your body can trick your mind. (Smile, even when it’s hard).
🧠 Rule #4: Motivation is a chemical you can create. (Celebrate the small wins).

Which rule surprised you the most?

Three weeks out from race day.
And I’ve completely reset my goals.

Not because I don’t care.
Not because I’m scared.
But because forcing a broken plan would be ego… not excellence.

Injury doesn’t test your fitness.
It tests your identity.

Can you detach from the outcome…
and stay committed to the standard?

This is what mental fitness actually looks like.

🎯 Adjust. Don’t abandon.
🎯 Protect the long game.
🎯 Play the A-Game available today.

If you’re an athlete navigating injury right now — this is your reminder:
Resetting isn’t quitting. It’s leadership.

When young athletes say, “I’ve lost my confidence”
what they usually mean is:

• I don’t know how to reset after mistakes.
• I don’t know how to handle pressure.
• I don’t know what to tell myself when I’m not playing well.
• I don’t know how to cope when others seem better than me.

Confidence isn’t a personality trait.
It’s a skill built from emotional tools.

We don’t need to fix kids.
We need to coach the part no one is coaching.

And that’s trainable.

Keep following along, something very exciting is dropping soon.. a free resource to help your young athlete. 👀

Most athletes aren’t losing because they’re “not good enough.” They’re losing because they believe outdated mindset advice.

“Just be confident.”
“Don’t be nervous.”
“Push through it.”
“Stay positive.”

That’s not mental training.
That’s motivational fluff.

Elite athletes don’t ignore fear.
They train their response to it.

They don’t wait for confidence.
They build evidence.

They don’t rely on hype.
They develop regulation.

Mindset isn’t vibes.
It’s a system.

And if you’re not training it on purpose, you’re leaving performance on the table.

Which one triggered you a little? 👇

We spend thousands on coaching.
But ignore the one thing that drives performance.

The brain.

When kids feel pressure, their thinking brain goes offline.

When they track wins, belief grows.

When they practice gratitude, resilience strengthens.

Mindset isn’t motivational.
It’s neurological.

Train it early.

Follow along for something very exciting launching for young athletes very soon!

If you’re a sports mum and you’re tired of hearing…

“You have to say that. You’re my mum.”

I want you to know something.

It’s not that they don’t believe you.

It’s that compliments don’t build confidence.

Conversations do.

When you say,
“You’re amazing.”
“You’re so talented.”
“You’re the best.”

Their brain hears:
“She loves me. She has to say that.”

But when you say:
“What were you proud of today?”
“What did you handle well?”
“What would you do differently next time?”
“Where did you stay composed?”

Now you’re building ownership.

Confidence isn’t built by praise.

It’s built by helping them see their own evidence.

And that’s a completely different conversation.

If you’re raising an athlete, stay close.

We’re about to release something that will show you exactly what type of competitor your child actually is — and what they need mentally to perform at their best.

It’s not what you think.

Follow along.

They can nail every drill in practice…

…but game day tells a different story.

Because here’s the truth no one tells you:

✅ Skills show up in training.
✅ Mindset shows up under pressure.
✅ Confidence, composure and the ability to reset after mistakes? That’s what separates the top 1% from the rest.

Your child doesn’t need more drills.
They need tools for pressure.
They need a mindset that performs when it counts.

Follow along — I’m showing parents how to close the gap between practice and performance.

For years, I thought it was A.

Then I learned that B is what truly drains your energy and your love for the sport.

The good news? The mental side is just as trainable as the physical side.

Comment ‘COURSE’ and you’ll be the first to know about our upcoming launch to help you become the athlete you know you can be.

Your mind isn’t the problem.
The lack of direction is.

When you don’t train your mental skills, your thoughts fire off in every direction — opinions, doubts, what-ifs, old stories, future worries… all talking over each other.

But when you put structure around your mindset (just like you do your training), everything quiets down.
You get clarity. You get intentional.
You start choosing the thoughts that support your goals instead of being pulled around by the noisy ones.

This is your reminder:
Mindset isn’t magic — it’s a skill. And it’s trainable.
