Calvary Aged Care in South Australia is conducting its annual mandatory training sessions this month, designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of hospitality staff across key operational areas.

Now in its third year, this training program has demonstrated measurable improvements in knowledge retention among participants while directly contributing to enhanced hospitality experiences for residents across our aged care homes.

What's your favourite activity for a cold winter day?

At Calvary Viewhills Manor, the residents love gathering around the fireplace for a spot of flower arranging. The wonderful colours and the fresh smells from the freshly picked flowers are transformed into some incredible displays. If you're a frequent visitor to the home, you'll see these displays at the front reception or around the residents rooms for them to admire.

Calvary Scottvale recently recevied their NeuronsVR headsets and they've been a real hit so far!

Staff were quick to set them up and before long, residents took part in armchair travel experiences to Italy and a bit of skiing in Japan. Thank you to the team who helped organise this for the home!

📈 12.4% growth in occupancy - from 492 to 553 units occupied
🏠 114 units sold in the last financial year
🔧 47 refurbishments completed (up from just 10 the previous year)
💰 11.6% average sales price growth across our portfolio

In an effort to continue training and development and to promote connectiveness, admin staff from our residential aged care homes in the North West and Surf Coast region of Victoria joined together yesterday for their quarterly education day.

Since the first session in 2024, many departments from across Calvary have provided further education and understanding to the faces that regularly rely on them for support.

Thank you to Kylie and Preeti - Customer and Contract Leads for the region - who first came up with the idea, we're lucky to have you at Calvary.

Cindy - Calvary Kingswood's Home Support Officer - is highly regarded for her compassion and charitable drive.

In an attempt to support the recent Vinnies Australia Food Drive in South Australia, Cindy has raised thousands of dollars' worth of food donations from staff, residents and families. There was an endless list of donations including an online order made by a resident's family as far away as Cairns.
