❤️ What a gift from the littlest learners!

We've just wrapped up Phase 1 & 2 of our Healthier Hearts & Lighter Minds program with Foundation, Year 1 & Year 2 students at Newborough East Primary School , and the students sent our staff home with the best kind of thank you.

These beautiful drawings from Foundation students capture exactly what we'd hoped for: little ones identifying, naming and expressing all 6 core emotions — surprise, anger, sadness, fear, joy and disgust. Seeing their understanding come to life in colour and creativity is a powerful reminder of why this work matters so much.

Building emotional literacy in early childhood sets kids up to manage their wellbeing, build stronger relationships and thrive, in the classroom and beyond. We're so proud of every student, teacher and family who leaned into this journey with us.

A huge thank you to AGL Loy Yang for making this possible. Your generous support is driving real impact across Gippsland schools, giving children the tools to understand their minds and hearts from the very beginning. 💛

We're looking for our Live Auction Partner for this year's Gala.

If you're an auctioneer, or you know one, this is the call.

The Live Auction is a big moment of the night. High energy, full room attention, every eye in the place on you. Your brand isn't just on a banner, it's performing. Leading the room.

✅ Exclusive rights to run the live auction segment
✅ Branded as "Live Auction presented by [Your Business]"
✅ MC introduction and feature positioning
✅ Full room attention and engagement

Investment: $1,000 by itself - or $3,000 with a table of 10 included.

This is 10 years of community trust behind your name for one incredible night. We'd love it to be someone local who believes in what we've done.

Drop us a message, tag someone who should be in the room, or share this so it finds the right person. 💚

Healthy Heads in Workplaces — the numbers are in!

Last week we brought together 150 people from across the Baw Baw region for our latest Healthy Heads in Workplaces event and the feedback has blown us away.

Out of the evaluations completed on the day:

📊 97.4% left feeling better than when they arrived
📊 97.4% found the content relevant to their life, work or organisation
📊 97.4% would recommend a Mindfull Aus event
📊 89.7% rated the overall experience 5 out of 5

That is not a workshop. That is a room full of people who showed up, opened up and left with something real.

We heard from the incredible Lachlan Lachie Stuart a life performance coach who ran 58 marathons in 58 consecutive days across all 58 US & Aus states. His four pillars of performance landed deeply and people left feeling like bigger goals were genuinely within reach.

We also worked through practical tools for managing stress, shifting mindset and finding more joy at work and at home. Tools that people can actually use.

"Attending the event was a great way to spend time with my team learning some strategies to deal with stress at home and work. Matt and Lachlan’s experience and insights really reinforced the benefits of setting goals, understanding what it takes to achieve them and how we’re all responsible for the choices we make to manage our own stress" - Participant

The feedback said it all, heartfelt, honest, a space where real conversations happened. That is what we always aim to build and it means everything when the community confirms it.

To every workplace, business and individual who showed up thank you. You are exactly why this work matters.

And to the Baw Baw Big Blokes BBQ — we cannot thank you enough, you help us to continue to lead conversations for all people in our community - Parents/Educators, Workplaces & through Paint the Town Green 💚

On Friday, Mick spoke to over 500 year eight students at the Live4Life launch in Sale.

Access to mental health support is vital for young people, especially in regional communities where resources can be limited. Programs like Live4Life that focus on wellbeing, resilience and connection, give young people the tools to navigate challenges, build confidence to have the hard conversations and feel supported.

It’s excellent to see so many schools across the Gippsland region involved in the programs, as it isn’t just about addressing mental health, it’s about empowering the next generation to thrive through life.

There’s something special about working and partnering with Baw Baw Big Blokes BBQ, it’s not transactional - they’re involved, they care & they are right amongst everything we do.

Thank you for supporting us to do this work & bringing accessible events to our community.

A great day with 150 proactive people from orgs across our community - taking time to put work down and focus on what drives everything, our mind and behavioural health.

Lachlan Stuart - you are a star ⭐️

Proud to see another fantastic free community event come together today, with Baw Baw Big Blokes BBQ supporting Mindfull Aus to deliver the ‘Healthy Heads Workplace’ session for our local business community.

Bringing more than 150 local business people together on a Friday lunchtime is no easy feat, but Matt Runnalls continues to put enormous effort into creating events that genuinely make an impact across Baw Baw.

We also had the privilege of hearing from Lachlan Stuart, whose story and insights around goals, discipline, standards and mindset gave everyone plenty to take away both professionally and personally.

Baw Baw Big Blokes BBQ is proud to continue backing initiatives like this that encourage stronger conversations, healthier workplaces and a better local community 👏

Not all courage is loud. Sometimes it looks like trying again… when you really don’t want to.

Another powerful session with the Westall students, diving into fear, failure and what it actually means to take action. Not being fearless but being willing.

We spoke about “win or learn”, backing yourself when things feel uncertain and understanding that mistakes aren’t the end… they’re part of the process.

From stepping outside comfort zones to getting clear on values, goals and who you want to become, this group really showed up. Proud of you all for leaning in, being open and giving things a go.

Wishing each of you the best of luck in your next chapter. Keep showing up, stay curious and don’t let fear make your decisions for you. Thanks for having us!
