Have you heard about our online network?

BCNA's online network is an active online peer to peer support community, where Australians affected by breast cancer can connect with others going through a similar experience at any time of the day or night.

We hear from many of our members about how helpful the online network has been for them.

“When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 the amazing members were so open and welcoming. They were honest with their support, advice and suggestions. This network saved me from being in a big black hole feeling all alone and helpless. I have made life long friends.” - Tracey

“If you’re from the Sydney area, there’s a high chance I’ve booked your appointment for you. I’ve been a booking clerk with BreastScreen NSW for the last 15 years. My role consists of making bookings and calling clients that have missed their routine mammograms to offer them an appointment. A large number of our women come from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds; I can relate to them as I migrated to Australia from Mauritius in 1988.
I love talking to women and empowering them to screen. A breast screen can be daunting if you've not had one before, but I explain the process to ensure women are comfortable before their appointment. I love my job and I’m grateful to be part of a team that does an incredible job of saving women’s lives.”

Juanita Frederic – Administration Officer at BreastScreen NSW, Sydney
