Meet Myo! Living with myopia means she has trouble seeing things far away, like the blackboard at school. Recently, she got a new pair of purple glasses, and they've made all the difference! Myo now finds it a lot easier to read and copy down notes from the board.

Meet the Pupils of Eyelove Primary School: Iris, Asthen, Myo, Hettie, and Amber!

We understand that adjusting to changes in vision can be a bit overwhelming, especially for kids. Some pupils don't know their view isn't clear, as they think their eyes are the same as their peers.

That's why we're delighted to introduce you to our five special characters, each with their own unique vision story. These friendly faces are here to help kids understand their own eye health journey.

Over the next week, we will be posting to highlight each of these characters, their eyes, and how we as optometrists can help.

Say hi to Amber! This bright-eyed student lives with amblyopia, which is often called a "lazy eye" and needs a bit of extra help to see properly. Thanks to early detection and treatment, her vision can improve significantly. Amber has been using eye drops, but her mum has booked an appointment with their local optometrist to get her first pair of glasses, and she can't wait!
