Lovely new business cards for me! 😊

Every now and again I like to change the design of my business cards and this one is very reflective of the time I had a way recently in France where we visited Monet’s house and garden where the tiles in the kitchen are very much like this design.

I normally like to support my local printers but good old Vista print came through with the goods on a spare of the moment decision.

After work dusk walk 🚶🏻‍♀️
I haven’t had time to go for a walk since I got back from France. So last night after work I went for a dusk walk on the old golf course. Nice brisk air on my arms (yes I even walked enough to take my jumper off in this cold July weather). Embracing being back and having a break from my warm/hot massage room.
School holidays are over so I have more time this week and weekend for anyone wanting a massage or facial etc.

After 34 years of doing my work as a massage therapist and incorporating energy healing into my work, I finally succumbed to the Reiki method 🥰. Thank you Jacqueline for being a most beautiful and trustworthy teacher of Reiki Level 1. I can’t wait to do Reiki 2 down the track.

Embracing this most beautiful May day. We are so lucky to live and work in this beautiful part of the world. you can see why people love having a little getaway in the Hills to enjoy the fresh air, peace and beauty of nature just a short drive from the city. It’s a popular thing for people to venture up here for the day, have a massage, a spot of lunch and a walk in the forest or a look at the view from Sky High, especially mid week when it’s less touristy.

Something to think about today if you haven’t already voted.

New research from ANU’s Nicholas Biddle reveals it’s not gender, but beliefs about gender equality, that most strongly predict how Australians vote.

Men who think equality hasn’t gone far enough are more likely to vote Labor than women who share the same view. And women who believe gender equality is “about right” are more supportive of the Liberal Party than similar men.

While Labor still leads in public confidence on gender issues, the Liberals are gaining ground, showing gender equality is an increasingly powerful factor in the political landscape.

The annual Chestnut Festival is on this Sunday 4th May. It’s a fundraiser for the pre-school and primary school. 10am-4pm in Kalorama. Food, drinks and everything chestnut. It’s like a proper quaint english villge fair.

Another sunny autumn morning here in Olinda. It would be a fantastic day to see the Kabloom flower festival which is down in Silvan at the Tesselets Tulip farm. Or a walk in the forest which I try to do each morning.

What a glorious Easter it has been up here in Olinda. Thank you to everyone who came in for a lovely relaxing and healing massages. I also was very grateful for the beautiful sunny autumnal weather we had into the Easter bunny who delivered hot Cross buns from Quarry Bakehouse to my door. As well as some home-made hot Cross buns (thanks Cam).
The Hills community certainly showed their colours as well when a little six year-old boy got lost in the forest overnight over Easter and the whole community went out searching for him. Luckily he was found the next day safe and sound. I was there ready to start searching when they found him and the emotion and relief of the boys parents was palpable.
