✨SOUL TRIBE… how do you feel about this statement? Personally, I totally agree with it. Just like most lessons in life, sometimes it takes learning something the hard way to actually learn it. Since I was a little girl, I’ve always been able to smell jealousy from a mile away. Unfortunately for me though, throughout my life I always chose to look the other way & turn a blind eye when I saw envy towards me coming from my family or friends.
Why, would you look the other way you ask? Good question actually, I have contemplated this myself many times upon analyzing past experiences & connections.
The answer is this…
I always preferred to see good in people, even if it wasn’t there. When people showed me exactly who they were, I didn’t want to believe them. So I hoped that by being kind, generous, giving, loving, honest, authentic, bringing them into my family life, my celebrations, setting a place for them at my table, taking them under my wings, including them in my personal successes etc, would bring out the best in them.
Apparently not.
What I took a long time to learn is that the “green eyed monster” is exactly that, a MONSTER. They will smile in your face & stab you in the back simultaneously. Believe them the first time they show you their true colours.
Going back for more by hoping for the best in them is delusional behaviour.
You’ll only be asking for more betrayal.
And rest assured, falseness, deception & trickery is what you’ll receive. Remember this, JEALOUSY IS A CURSE & by opening the door to it, you are essentially cursing your own life & soul.
Do you yourself a favour, the moment you smell something off, trust that it’s off & get rid of it.
No song & dance required.
If you don’t, you’re only asking for more trouble, drama & blockages in your personal & professional life.
Trust me, I know.
Use your discernment & act accordingly. Life is too short to only want to see the best in others, you must see the TRUTH in them instead.
These days I act very swiftly indeed & cut those cords without an ounce of guilt or regret.
