Autumn invites us to slow down, nourish our body & support our immune system. Think warming meals, good sleep, and nutrients that support resilience before winter 🤎

If you were constantly sick last autumn & winter… read this. 🍂

If last year looked like:
🤧 Back-to-back colds
🤒 Every virus going around
😩 Recurring tonsillitis
🛌 Lingering fatigue after “just a cold”

This is your reminder:
Start supporting your immune system now, not when you’re already sick.

Autumn is preparation season.

When daylight drops and stress stays high, immune resilience can dip, especially if you’re already run down, iron deficient and chronically stressed.

The clients who sail through winter:
They start in autumn.

Simple foundations:
🌿 Prioritise sleep. Try going to bed 45mins earlier.
🌿 Eat warming foods & enough protein (immune cells rely on it)
🌿 Check iron & vitamin D
🌿 Support gut health (a large portion of immune activity happens there)
🌿 Reduce the “I’ll push through” mindset

Recurring colds, constant viruses, or feeling wiped for weeks after infection isn’t just winter hitting you hard.

Your immune system isn’t weak.
It’s asking for resources.

Hormones, gut and health are all connected.
Breakouts, bloating, fatigue, irregular cycles, stubborn weight...

Your gut is where hormones are processed, detoxified and recycled. If the gut is inflamed, sluggish or reactive, hormones don’t move the way they should through your body and that shows up in your cycle, your energy, your mood, your skin.
(That’s why topical skincare and random supplements alone don’t fix the root cause)

When you support:
🌿 the gut
🌿the liver
🌿the nervous system..hormones start to flow in rhythm again. Your digestion is activated. Less cortisol spikes promote real energy and a feeling of peace

Start with one gentle daily habit: include bitter herbs and bitter foods to support gut, liver, hormone flow — think dandelion tea, rocket (arugula), radicchio, or hot lemon water in the morning. Simple yet effective 🤎

Your body is always wanting to heal… sometimes it just needs some extra support.

Back to school season brings a sense of routine for our kids but for many mums, it’s the moment their own health starts to wobble.

I see this every February in clinic.

Women come in saying:
“I’m exhausted.”
“I’m bloated all the time.”
“I’m craving sugar at night.”
“I feel anxious or flat.”
“I’ve suddenly gained weight and nothing’s changed.”

And it’s not because you’re doing anything wrong.
It’s because back to school life puts your nervous system and hormones under pressure.
More rushing.
More decision-making.
More mental load.
Less rest.
More coffee.
Skipped meals.
All of that drives up cortisol (your stress hormone), which then affects your blood sugar, digestion, progesterone and oestrogen balance. The result is exactly what so many mums feel right now: tired but wired, puffy, craving sugar, moody, and inflamed.
So what actually helps?
Here are the three foundations I focus on with women at this time of year:

Support your nervous system
When stress stays high, your hormones can’t balance. Magnesium in the evening and gentle adaptogenic herbs such as ashwagandha, ginseng and rehmannia can help calm the stress response and restore energy without overstimulation. There are so many beautiful herbal tonic combinations to support your individual needs.

Support your liver and digestion.
Stress slows digestion and causes hormones to recirculate instead of being cleared. Bitter herbs and dandelion root tea help improve bile flow, reduce bloating, and support the healthy clearance of excess oestrogen.

Stabilise blood sugar
This is a big one! Skipping meals and running on coffee leads to afternoon crashes, anxiety and evening cravings. Protein at breakfast, a proper lunch, and a savoury snack mid-afternoon can make a dramatic difference to your energy, mood and weight.

If you’re a mum feeling flat, overwhelmed, bloated or not quite yourself right now, please know this: it’s not a personal failing it’s your body responding to sustained stress.

With the right support, things can feel easier, calmer and more balanced again.

You are always welcomed to have a discovery call with myself or if you are ready to go deeper, book in a consultation for a 2026 reboot 🤎

Perimenopause isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing it differently!
Your body is changing, and what worked in your 20s or 30s might not now. These shifts are norma and totally manageable with the right approach.

Focus on nourishing your body, building strength, and supporting your hormones instead of fighting them.
Small, consistent habits now = Big energy and balance wins later 🙌🏻❤️

Perimenopause is a Shift, not a setback!

HIT SAVE!

Your bleed gives real-time clues about estrogen, progesterone and how smoothly your cycle is running.
Light pink, brown spotting, long cycles, pain or mood swings are all patterns, not problems and each points to a specific hormonal imbalance.
If your cycle is confusing or changing, I can help you decode it 🤎

The Magic of Progesterone ✨

Progesterone is your calming, grounding hormone the one that helps you feel steady, supported, and like yourself again.

When progesterone is thriving, you may notice:
💗Better sleep
💗Less PMS + anxiety
💗More emotional resilience
💗A calmer nervous system
💗Easier fat loss around the belly
💗Healthy cycles + fertility
💗No spotting or old/dark blood before your bleed
💗Regular, predictable cycles
💗Feeling energised instead of stressed and exhausted

Progesterone is your body’s natural anti-stress, pro-calm hormone.
When it drops? Energy dips, stress rises, moods wobble, and cycles shift.

Your body isn’t broken — it’s communicating with you.

How I support healthy progesterone naturally

As a naturopath, I help you:
✨ Balance blood sugar + fuel properly
✨ Support strong, healthy ovulation
✨ Build nourishing meals with protein, minerals + fibre
✨ Replenish key nutrients (B6, zinc, magnesium, omega-3s)
✨ Calm the nervous system + reduce stress load
✨ Strength train intelligently (not burn yourself out)
✨ Restore sleep + rest cycles

And herbal medicine works a treat here my blends are beautiful, thoughtfully crafted, and personalised just for you. 🌿
They help calm the nervous system, support ovulation, nourish hormones, and bring your body back to feeling human again

The spring racing and festive season are here! 🌸

Great fun but they can also leave your body feeling a little depleted… maybe very. Here are my top tips to help you enjoy the good times and wake up feeling human the next day!
💧Hydrate (properly!):
It’s not just about drinking water — it’s about absorbing it. Add a pinch of sea salt or a squeeze of lemon to each glass to support electrolyte balance and keep your energy steady through long days in the sun.
🍋Support your liver:
Your liver works overtime processing alcohol and rich foods. Show it some love with dandelion, fresh lemon in warm water, and plenty of cruciferous veggies like broccoli, kale, and rocket. Milk thistle is another great herbal ally for gentle detox support.
⚖️Balance & recover:
Before heading out, fuel your body with protein, good fats, and colourful veggies to keep blood sugar stable. After big days, prioritise rest, rehydration, and magnesium (from leafy greens or a supplement) to calm your nervous system and support recovery.
🍎Nurture your gut:
Extra alcohol and indulgent foods can throw off your gut balance. Keep your microbiome happy with probiotic-rich foods like sauerkraut, kefir, or yoghurt, and plenty of fibre from seeds, oats, and veggies. A healthy gut supports your energy, immunity, and mood so you can keep glowing all season long!
✨ Enjoy the celebrations — your body will thank you later!

Collagen is like your body’s natural glue, keeping everything smooth, strong, and glowing from the inside out.
It helps your skin stay bouncy, your hair shiny, and your joints happy as you move through life. Think of it as your daily dose of inside-out beauty support. It also gives your gut a little love by helping to strengthen the digestive lining, which means better nutrient absorption and fewer tummy troubles.
Sip it in your smoothie, stir it in your coffee (like I do), or sneak it into your favorite recipes and you’re fueling your body with the building blocks it needs to stay strong, radiant, and resilient — naturally.
Anytime is a great time to start 💃
