The Port Melbourne Toy Library is not-for-profit community based organisation, that exists to inspire our local children to learn through play.

Join us to borrow from a great range of toys suitable for children from the ages of 6 months to 6 years. Includes balance bikes, infant and pre-school toys, imaginative play, puzzles, games, costumes and loads more! How To Join: Visit the Toy Library during our opening hours

When: Wednesday and Saturday 10:30am -12:30pm
Where: Port Melbourne Town Hall, 333 Bay Street, Port Melbourne

Member Fees:
- Annual Membership $130
- Concession Membership $0
- Short Term Membership (3 months) $45

* Annual Members are eligible for $20 discount on following year’s membership if they volunteer up to 2 x1 hour volunteer session
* Members can borrow 4 toys at a time. Membership options available for extra toys

🌟 We’re Looking for a Social Media & Marketing Volunteer! 🌟

Do you love community, creativity and a good Canva template?

Port Melbourne Toy Library is looking for a volunteer to help manage our Instagram and Facebook, create simple graphics, promote events and memberships, and help us grow our local community.

If you’ve got experience with Canva, Instagram & Facebook and can spare a few hours a week, we’d love to hear from you 💛

Flexible, mostly remote, and a lovely committee to work with.

Join us for a free online session exploring how children develop play skills, and how play supports speech, language, emotional and social development.

👩‍⚕️ Presented by Tamara, an experienced Speech Pathologist with over 22 years’ experience working with children across early childhood, education and community settings. Tamara also volunteers at Port Melbourne Toy Library and will share practical, real-world tips on:
🧸 engaging children in play
🧩 choosing toys that support development
🗣️ building language through everyday play
