3. Practice Stress Management: we all know Chronic stress is not good for our bodies - it can exacerbate how much pain we feel and contribute to the development of chronic pain. That’s why including mindfulness techniques, meditation, deep breathing exercises, or yoga into daily life can help promote relaxation, reduce muscle tension, and alleviate pain.

4. Take Regular Breaks: Prolonged periods of sitting or repetitive movements can contribute to musculoskeletal issues and pain. Taking regular breaks to stretch, move, and change positions throughout the day will help immensely!

5. Get Quality Sleep: Poor sleep quality or insufficient sleep can exacerbate pain sensitivity and increase the risk of developing chronic pain conditions. Prioritizing good sleep hygiene practices, such as maintaining a consistent sleep schedule, creating a comfortable sleep environment, and practicing relaxation techniques before bedtime, can help improve sleep quality and reduce the risk of chronic pain.”

To assist you on our journey to becoming pain free, book a Massage appointment with one of our experienced therapists via bio link or give us a call.

Can Massage really help the Lymphatic System and your health? YES! And you can usually notice a difference during your Lymphatic Drainage treatment.

Your Lymphatic System plays an important role in health and disease by fighting off infection, expelling toxins and maintaining the body’s fluid balance.

During a Lymphatic Drainage Massage your therapist will use stretching and gentle pressing techniques to move fluid along your lymphatic pathways, towards your heart, and back to your venous system where it’s refiltered and then expelled from your body.

Some people seek out Lymphatic Massage to rid a cold or bug that won’t budge; when they’ve been stressed and notice they’re more puffy in the face or body (often due to high cortisol levels); after a long haul flight or a trip indulging in alcohol and foods they wouldn’t usually; and others get Lymphatic massages regularly (eg. every 2 to 4 weeks) as a means to detoxify, calm and balance the body.

If you’re curious or have been meaning to try Lymphatic Drainage for a while, book an appointment via our booking platform (link in bio).

We have three experienced Massage Therapists on our team - Junko, Melissa and Tarren.

We believe that massages are an important part of balancing your body and mind, so we’ve developed a range of treatments that are rejuvenating, promote healing, help tend to your nervous system and overall wellbeing.

‣ Remedial Massage: Targets specific areas of tension, fatigue, stress and discomfort to restore balance to your body and mind, alleviate pain, and increase range of motion.
‣ Lymphatic Drainage: Enhances your body’s natural detoxification process. Gentle, rhythmic movements help to stimulate lymphatic flow, reduce swelling, and boost immune function.
‣ Pregnancy Massage: Tailored to the unique needs of expectant mothers, this treatment helps alleviate pregnancy related discomfort or pain and promotes relaxation.
‣ Shiatsu: This therapeutic massage is rooted in traditional Japanese acupuncture. Pressure points and Meridian stretching techniques are used to promote balance, harmony, and holistic healing.
‣ Abdominal Massage: Chi Nei Tsang is an ancient Taoist practice. The technique can regulate multiple systems of the body from the digestive, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, renal, endocrine and reproductive system.

If you’re needing some body and/or nervous system support you can book massage treatments through our online booking system (link in bio) or by calling the clinic on 03 9995 8880. We’re looking forward to meeting you.

A new global data analysis of the available evidence published in BMJ Open:

“Acupuncture significantly improved pain, functional status, and quality of life in women with lower back/pelvic pain during the pregnancy. Additionally, acupuncture had no observable severe adverse influences on the newborns,” the researchers concluded.

The final analysis included 10 randomised controlled trials, involving more than 1,000 women. Every study was published between 2000 and 2020, and carried out variously in Sweden, the UK, the US, Spain and Brazil.
