👀 Ever notice the same faces at your favourite local leisure centre (or anywhere for that matter!)… but never actually say hello?

We’re trialing something new: ‘Chatty Champions’.

No schedules, no set tables — just people taking the brave first step to spark a chat with someone they don’t know.

Because connection doesn’t have to be planned. It just has to start. 💛
Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Grab a ‘Join Me for a Chat’ sign after your activity
2️⃣ Place it on your café table
3️⃣ Enjoy your coffee and see who stops by
4️⃣ Return the sign when you’re done

One in three adults in Australia is lonely. That’s why I suggested bringing the nationwide Chatty Café movement to Vincent. Small, genuine conversations can make a big difference in reducing loneliness.

Join us for a chat on the last Friday of every month from 10am in the foyer of the Community Centre (99 Loftus St, Leederville) until 28 Nov. It’s free, friendly and for everyone 💛

Everyone meet Marcus!! 👋🏻

Chatty Cafe host at Bloom Pop-Up Cafe, who does the most, whose favourite thing is to have a chat with all of their amazing customers! 💛

Our host who does the most whose favourite thing is to have a chat with all of our amazing customers!

Marcus loves to talk about anything and everything, and is always up for a laugh or a friendly debate. His favourite thing about working at Bloom is being able to make everyone feel welcome and make them laugh! Marcus is super proud to be working for a nonprofit organisation that helps people with disabilities build work and communication skills, as well as be a welcoming place for anyone to come and have a coffee and a chat ❤️

When not at the cafe, Marcus is keeping himself active by playing tennis, doing exercise physio and hydrotherapy which he really enjoys. 🏊💪🏼

A fun fact about Marcus is that he actually came up with our name: Bloom!! So thanks Marcus 😍🌸

See you all Monday 11am to 1pm, we can’t wait!!
