Strength training.

I have a love/hate or maybe love/fear of strength training…

A few years back I hurt my back terribly (twice!) doing strength training in the gym. The first time was deadlifting & I think it was due to poor form. Whilst heavier weights provide better results, poor form + heavier weights = injuries!

The second time was due to impatience! I didn’t allow my original injury to heal completely.

But now I’m back doing strength training as well as my beloved F45 for some cardio & I am loooooving it! I’m feeling strong & fit & so good! 💪🏻👊🏻✌🏻

Homemade Sushi.

Sushi is probably my favourite food. I could eat it every single day for the rest of my life & never get sick of it!! Luckily for me…it’s so easy to make at home!

I used to try to make sushi at home with brown rice or quinoa but it never works out as well as good old sushi rice… So that’s what I use. But I use it plain…I don’t bother with adding rice vinegar or anything like that.

Add whatever fillings you love best. These are a mix of avocado, red capsicum, grated carrot & cucumber. Yum!

Apple Pie Porridge.

So comforting & warming & delicious!

Cook your oats as you normally would but add in 3/4 grated apple & 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Chop the other 1/4 apple into small squares to top it with after it’s cooked with crushed almonds & pepitas.

That’s it!

Enjoy! 🍎
