πΈ What is Endometriosis? πΈ
Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it β often on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and other pelvic organs. This tissue responds to hormonal changes, just like the uterine lining, but it has nowhere to go, leading to pain, inflammation, and sometimes scarring.
β¨ Common Symptoms Include:
Painful periods (more than just cramps)
Pain during or after s*x
Chronic pelvic pain
Heavy bleeding
Fatigue
Digestive issues (bloating, nausea, constipation)
π©Ί Many people with endometriosis go years without a diagnosis. Itβs often misunderstood or dismissed β but your pain is real.
π There is no cure (yet), but there are treatments that can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life. Early diagnosis can make a big difference.
Letβs break the silence and support each other. If you or someone you know is struggling with unexplained pelvic pain, donβt ignore it. Speak up. Ask questions. Advocate for your health.
