Our clinics are owned by Tammy Lobato who offers her experience and empathy for those experiencing hair loss from Chemotherapy and other medical treatments or surgical procedures, Alopecia, Hair thinning, and for those requiring wigs for cultural and cosmetic needs. For over 40 years, Tammy has lived with hair loss from the Auto-Immune disease, Alopecia and from her extensive experience with wigs

Tammy’s motivation to establish Tammy Lobato Wigs was formed from her frustration of the lack of knowledge of wigs and their care requirements, and lack of understanding held by people who merely sell the wigs without care. In her opinion online stores are even worse, pumping out wigs from a factory without a care in the world about who or why that person needs that wig. From Tammy’s experience, websites can often portray very different images to the wigs that are ultimately sent in the mail.
“Tammy Lobato Wigs is unique in that it is created and managed from a person that for 40 years has had to wear wigs. I know first hand the frustration and limitation of wearing wigs and the desperation to ensure it looks nice and natural every day. I know what chemotherapy patients and people with Alopecia are feeling and wanting from their wigs and want to ensure that they receive the full care and attention they deserve. The loss of one’s hair is a deeply emotional journey that requires face to face care in searching for hair loss solutions. Holistic needs are not met by simply filling in an order form online and waiting for the package to arrive and then hoping it will be alright. Our Story

I created Tammy Lobato Wigs to provide for a gap that existed in the alternative hair market. For more than 40 years I had been searching for realistic and high quality wigs. The constant search was futile but more importantly I couldn't find anyone selling the wigs to provide me with the level of service I wanted and needed. No-one provided the compassion and care I felt I needed, having the Auto-Immune diesease, Alopecia since I was 3, resulted in me having no hair for the next 40 plus years. I really felt that I deserved better than receiving my new fake looking, shiny wig shoved in a brown paper bag by a salesperson with no experience with hairloss. I often overheard conversations between those undertaking chemo and the salespeople and felt the emptiness that resulted from the client desperate for someone to empathise with their sudden and traumatic hairloss that would now define them as a cancer patient. So I created the environment and experience I always wanted. From my lifetime without hair, I provide the experience people without hair need - as do my staff who also have hairloss experience. We provide high quality, realistic wigs and toppers while providing care and compassion in a private boutique. Then we back it up with ongoing service, advice and maintenance service. Tammy x
