A proper assessment is the foundation of effective care. ✨

As a Remedial Therapist, Myotherapist, Chiropractor, Osteopath, or any healthcare professional, truly understanding your patient’s needs is key to creating a personalised treatment plan. Every ‘body’ is unique, and taking the time to assess thoroughly ensures the best outcomes, whether it’s pain relief, improved mobility, or long term recovery.

Sometimes, your pain might not be stemming from where you think it is, which is why completing a proper and thorough assessment is so important. A proper assessment involves a detailed conversation about symptoms, lifestyle, and medical history, combined with a physical evaluation to identify movement patterns, muscle imbalances, joint function, and areas of pain or restriction. It’s about finding the root cause, not just treating the symptoms.

“Darker cupping marks don’t indicate anything?”
Think again, they often indicate areas that have more tension, stagnation, or poor circulation, while lighter marks mean better blood flow.
“Should I be alarmed if my cupping is darker than usual?”
No, not necessarily, they are a sign that your body is responding to the treatment and releasing built up waste and toxins. The colour and intensity will fade within a few days, especially if you stay hydrated and care for the area.

Suction strength, duration, and your body’s unique response also affect the colour of your cupping bruises. Over time, consistent cupping improves circulation, leading to lighter marks. These marks are totally normal and a sign your body is releasing what it doesn’t need! ✨

Here’s what Ibby, our incredible Chiropractor, had to say about his time in Greece! 🌍
“During my time in Crete, Greece, I worked as a sports chiropractor, providing care and rehabilitation to professional athletes. I had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, helping them to recover from injuries, optimise their performance, and maintain their peak physical condition. This experience allowed me to apply my skills in a dynamic environment, combining my expertise in chiropractic care with the needs of high level athletes.
I had the incredible privilege of attending the Ju Jitsu World Championships in October and November, where I provided support and care to the competitors. This event gave me a chance to witness not only elite level athletes in action, but also, furthering my understanding of sports injuries and recovery in martial arts. It was an incredible opportunity to blend my chiropractic work with the world of combat sports, deepening my knowledge of the unique demands placed on athletes in this discipline.

I am thrilled to be back at MBC treating clients, individuals, and athletes and doing what I do best and what I am most passionate about! I am excited to apply the skills and knowledge gained from this experience in Greece further enhancing my practice and help you achieve your goals. 🙌”
