What is Myotherapy? Myotherapy is the assessment, treatment and prevention of the musculoskeletal system, includi
ng soft tissue pain, trigger points (hypersensitive ‘knots’ that cause pain) and restricted joint movement. These can be cause by injured muscles or myofascial dysfunction (muscular pain and discomfort). The aim of Myotherapy is to treat the cause as well as the symptoms of a wide range of conditions. A variety of different techniques are used to prevent and treat muscle pain and dysfunction, including myofascial release and acupressure to rebalance your body, realigning your muscles so the body can heal itself. Treatment is directed at the fascia or soft tissue components including connective tissue, muscles, ligaments and tendons. Fiber Harmony can increase your range of movement and flexibility, decrease muscle pain and help prevent injuries from occurring. We allow ample time for a thorough assessment and treatment of your condition, and assist you in understanding how to manage your own health effectively by formulating a personalised treatment and management plan.
