We’re incredibly proud to congratulate our sponsored athlete, Kirsty, from Ocean Grove Calisthenics for her outstanding result at the CVI State Championships yesterday, placing 4th out of 15 competitors.

Her dedication, perseverance, and commitment to training are a true reflection of the discipline it takes to perform at such a high level. Achieving 4th place at state level against such strong competition is an incredible accomplishment and a testament to all the hard work she puts in behind the scenes.

It’s been wonderful to support Kirsty's journey and watch her continue to grow in both strength and confidence. Congratulations on this fantastic achievement — we look forward to cheering you on in all your future competitions!

This exercise targets the glutes, hips, and core to improve pelvic stability and support better movement patterns.

Why we love it:

✔️ Encourages better knee alignment

This simple exercise targets your mid-back muscles—the ones responsible for keeping your shoulders back and your posture in check.

✔️ Reduces neck strain and tension headaches
✔️ Relieves that tight, achy feeling between the shoulder blades
✔️ Improves shoulder stability and movement

💡CHIRO SAYS: Struggling with nagging neck pain? Try this 👇

If you’re experiencing tight shoulders or a stiff neck, it’s often not just your “traps” — it’s your posture.

When we spend hours sitting, working, and looking down at our phones, the chest tightens and the shoulders roll forward… leaving the upper traps to overcompensate.

This simple stretch helps to:
✔ Open up the chest
✔ Improve shoulder position
✔ Gently release neck and upper trap tension

How to do it:
• Interlock your fingers behind your back
• Gently straighten your arms and lift your chest
• Slowly move your head side to side

💡 Keep it slow, controlled, and pain-free — no forcing the stretch.

Try this for a few reps each morning or after long periods of sitting and notice the difference.

With memberships across leading sports and health organisations, he’s worked with athletes at every level — from sporting clubs to the “athletes of the workforce.”

Chiropractic played a key role in his own sporting journey, helping him recover from injuries and stay in the game. Today, the most rewarding part of his work is helping people return to sport and everyday life pain-free, performing better and living well. Our talented Myotherapist and Remedial Massage Therapist, Kylie-Faye specialises in comprehensive musculoskeletal assessment and treatment. By combining advanced myotherapy techniques with remedial massage, she focuses on reducing pain, improving movement, and helping patients feel their best.

Her passion for treatment began after years of receiving care herself as a hockey goalkeeper — understanding firsthand how important it is to support the body properly. Today, the most rewarding part of her work is making a real impact in people’s lives by increasing mobility and decreasing pain.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find her poolside with family and good music in summer, or at the hockey club on winter game days enjoying the community atmosphere. And if there’s a potluck? She’s bringing the tacos. 🌮
