AEC have announced more supports available to help people with a disability cast their vote at the upcoming Federal Election. ✏️

On election day, some polling places will have:

✅ 2-person tables for those who require a family member, friend or carer to assist them with voting

✅ accessible voting screens

✅ hearing loops, and/or

✅ text-to-speech pens.

A virtual Auslan interpreter service will be available at every polling place and can be accessed on a smart device by scanning the QR code on the poster in the polling place.

Early voting commences today with select voting locations now open for people with disability and their carers who are eligible to vote early.
