The team at Menai Metro Physiotherapy wish all of our clients a happy and safe festive season!
The health and welfare of all of our clients is always our first priority.

This is the latest health advice from NSW Health.
We request that all of our patients continue to wear a mask in all areas of the practice. We continue to follow strict hygiene protocols and thank you all for your understanding and co-operation.

As the situation in other states and territories may change and further outbreaks may occur in NSW, it is important to maintain high rates of testing to ensure any new cases or outbreaks are identified and managed rapidly.

Latest advice from The Australian Physiotherapy Association

NSW Members – Further guidance re 5km rule

We have received guidance from the NSW CAHO that the 5km and 10km rules only apply for shopping, exercise and recreational activities. It is a "reasonable excuse” for people to still receive healthcare (eg: from a physio) outside those restrictions. Any treatment must be guided though by the principles communicated last week in Dr Kerry Chant's letter - namely that face-to-face care is reserved for patients whose health is likely to deteriorate if they do not receive care and, to use telehealth wherever possible.

COVID UPDATE-PUBLIC HEALTH ORDERS
The current advice from NSW Health is that tele-health should be used wherever possible or treatment delayed unless absolutely necessary.
The team at Menai Metro Physiotherapy is committed to the health and welfare of all our patients. We are also very supportive of the current public health orders and we want to do our part in getting out of this lockdown ASAP.
For the next 2 weeks, we will be encouraging people to delay any face to face treatment if at all possible.
But please, rest assured that we are here for you. If you have an urgent issue, are in a lot of pain or have had recent surgery, we are still able to see you.
We will be operating with reduced hours and our physios will be working at different times. Please be patient as our admin staff will not be working over these 2 weeks.
If you need us, please call 95436772, or email menaimphysio@bigpond.com and leave a message. We will be checking our messages regularly and we are more than happy to answer any questions or provide advice.
Thank you for your understanding, patience and support during this very difficult time!
Stay safe and healthy,
Menai Metro Physiotherapy Team

WE ARE STILL OPEN!!

COVID UPDATE
We have been updated by NSW Health and The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) regarding health services in Sydney during the lockdown period.

We understand that the current advice is ever-changing, and that our physiotherapy services are deemed as essential. Our concern is always for the health, safety and well being of our clients.

NSW Health has advised the APA “If allied health care cannot be delayed due to the deterioration of a person’s health, then it should proceed”.

We are still open for consultations at this time.

We are, as always, committed to the health and safety of our clients.
We follow strict hygiene rules and have stringent cleaning protocols.
We ask that all patients wear a mask at all times and adhere to social distancing requirements in the waiting room.
Please reschedule your appointment if you have any COVID symptoms and get tested immediately.
Please do not attend the clinic if you have been deemed a close contact of someone diagnosed with COVID from NSW Health.
Please contact us via phone (95436772) or email (menaimphysio@bigpond.com) if you would like to delay non essential treatment or reschedule an appointment.
We thank you for your support and understanding during these difficult times.
