In the past month, I’ve been blown away by the kindness of our community. Three different people have chosen to “pay it forward,” gifting massages and other recovery services to others.

How does the infared sauna help with sinus, congestion, asthma and respiratory infection?

1. Helps loosen mucus and congestion - it gently warms tissues and can thin mucus in the nasal passages, sinuses and chest, which may help you clear it more easily. This can give relief from sinus pressure and chest congestion.

2. Eases muscle aches & discomfort - infections often bring body aches, tight chest muscles from coughing or sinus headache. Infrated heat pe*****tes deeper into tissues than traditional sauna heat and may help muscles relax.

3. Promotes circulation & sweating - increase circulation can help immune cells move around the body more effectively. Sweating can help the body feel “cleansed”.

4. Supports relaxation & breathing - the gentle heat can help calm the nervous system, reduce stress and ease breathing.

Key tips for using the infafred sauna if your unwell:

Infrared saunas can be quite beneficial for muscle injuries and recovery! How does it work:

1. Deep heat pe*******on - Infrared saunas use infrared light to heat your body directly, rather than just heating the air. This heat can pe*****te deeper into muscles and tissues (up to 3–5 cm), helping to relax muscles and ease tightness.

2. Improved blood circulation - The heat causes blood vessels to dilate, increasing blood flow to injured areas. Better circulation brings more oxygen and nutrients to tissues, which can speed up healing and help clear out metabolic waste.

3. Reduced muscle stiffness & pain relief - heat helps reduce muscle spasms, stiffness and discomfort.

4. Lower inflammation - infrared therapy may reduce markers of inflammation, which can help swelling around injured muscles subside faster.

5. Enhanced recovery post-exercise - regular sessions may help prevent delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) after workouts by boosting circulation and promoting faster removal of lactic acid.

⚠️ Important note:
For acute muscle injuries (like a fresh strain or tear), it’s usually best to wait at least 24–48 hours and use cold therapy first to reduce swelling. Infrared heat is more helpful in the subacute or chronic stages (after the initial inflammation has settled). Always check with a physio or doctor if unsure.

Mix with a morning bone broth which is rich in amino acids, collagen, is hydrating and has anti-inflammatory compounds. This helps support the gut and are the building blocks your body uses to repair and build new muscle tissue, ligaments and tendons.
