What is an HSG test—and why might you need one?

A Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is a specialised test used to take a closer look at your uterus and fallopian tubes. It helps to check for any blockages or abnormalities that might be making it harder to fall pregnant.
During the procedure, a dye is gently placed into the uterine cavity, allowing X-ray imaging to show us how the dye flows through the tubes. It’s quick—usually around 15 minutes—and can provide valuable insights into your fertility.
