This new program makes home care simpler, more flexible, and tailored to your needs so that you can live independently in your OWN HOME LONGER 👏 Everyone who receives a government funded package has the option to ‘self manage it’

Being registered providers on the NDIS and already servicing our ndis community for the past several years in the Bega Valley for these categories, we are now even more excited to deliver services to older people to help them manage activities and keep their home in a liveable state in order for them to stay independent in their homes.

Through our NDIS support Tarryn Lucas Fitness Activity Assist - individual skills and development alongside community participation , we’re proud to celebrate one of our participants Christian who has recently gained employment at the Tura Country Club.

Over time, he’s built confidence, communication skills, and independence — and now takes great pride in being part of the team.

We thank our wonderful staff member Jo who is his weekly support. Her valuable contributors to Christian each week have not gone unnoticed. We would also like to say Thank you to Tura Beach Country Club for giving Christian this amazing opportunity. This achievement is a wonderful example of how businesses can collaborate and with the right support can create meaningful pathways into the community and long-term employment.

You’re doing such a great Job Christian and we are so proud of you. 🎉🎉

An example of Christians Day out with us includes -

➡️Practise basketball skills at a local court
➡️Head to the gym for some exercise and movement
➡️Some Art Activites

Our son is now 24 and was diagnosed with autism at a young age. He has been attending community participation sessions with Tarryn Lucas Fitness and their activity assist program for the past five years, one day a week, and the growth we’ve seen in his independence has been incredible.

When he first started, he needed a lot of support with everyday activities like shopping, cooking and general household tasks. With the patience, structure and encouragement from the team, he’s developed the confidence and skills to do so much more on his own.

He now takes pride in planning and helping with meals, understanding money and making healthy choices when shopping, and even completing regular life duties around the home.

The best thing we find about Tarryn, her team and the program is that they include exercise and movement every time they see our son, whether it be in the gym or outdoors. This was a huge draw card for us to keep his fitness levels up and for him to maintain his strength and mobility.

The consistent, supportive environment has made all the difference. He feels valued, capable and part of the community.

We’re so grateful for the genuine care and dedication the team has shown over the years. It’s been wonderful to see him become more independent and confident in himself

My daughter who is a ndis recipient attends Tarryn Lucas’s fitness twice weekly for her health and fitness. She absolutely loves that time with Tarryn and the other trainers.

The social side/ community outings they offer are so much fun - some trips to the tathra beach and eden have been a highlight for her. She has been attending for two years now and has made lifelong friendships.

The professional approach has been outstanding from the word go and they are passionate and compassionate both in one. We love that they offer community participation in conjunction with assisting her with her exercise goals.

I highly recommend activity assist to anyone we cross paths with requiring support on a weekly basis.

I have been holidaying in Merimbula for about 26 years and in February 2016 I suffered a stroke. I still managed to return for my usual holiday in Nov/Dec but I was quite overwhelmed and I suppose, depressed as things had changed for me dramatically. I had limited movement and independence.
On my return the following year I started one on one personal training with Tarryn and still continue every year. I can't speak highly enough of Tarryn and her wonderful staff, even with Covid and border closures every time I could come back one on one time was always made available which for I was very grateful.

The kindness and professionalism of the team makes you feel part of a family and not just a client, as it's not just the exercises but the laughs and chats that also help you.
I hope that one day I will call Merimbula home and become part of this amazing family on a more regular basis.
