This week is Men’s Mental Health Week, so it’s a good time to mention 4 Habits for Better Mental Health.

1. Check in with your mates regularly and catch up for a chat. Try some professional support with a mental health service, like YourCoachPlus.
2. Focus on being physically active. Spend more time in nature. It improves our emotional wellbeing and lowers our stress levels.
3. Normalise talking about mental health. 1 in 2 men will experience mental ill health across
their lifetime.

4. Develop a healthy mindset to keep you mentally strong. Set goals and reframe unhelpful thoughts.

What an incredible honour to receive a Partnership Award last night! 🎉🏆

We’re truly grateful for the recognition – but even more so for the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most committed and forward-thinking partners around.

Working alongside Gold Coast Health, Gold Coast Primary Health Network - GCPHN, the City of Gold Coast, Queensland Alliance for Mental Health, and a whole network of amazing agencies across the region is what makes our work meaningful. Whether it’s supporting the After Hours Safe Space, co-creating around Head to Health Kids, designing innovative initiatives like Wise Carer and NatureLink, or simply finding new ways to connect people with the care and support they need – it’s a genuine joy to be part of it all.

Here’s to strong partnerships, shared purpose, and a better-connected Gold Coast.

Thank you for the recognition – and thank you for the collaboration.

⭐ Today is World Social Prescribing Day - a day to celebrate connection and the value we bring to each other. ⭐

Good health isn’t just about medical care. It’s about having people, places, and purpose that make life meaningful and wonderful. Social prescribing helps people find what they need in their community - whether that’s local groups, creative activities, time in nature, material support, a chance to volunteer and help others, or just a friendly space to belong. 🥰

We spend so much time and money treating illness, but what if we focused on quality of life and staying well in the first place? A good life isn’t just about avoiding sickness - it’s about feeling connected, valued, and supported. When we invest in social and emotional wellbeing, we don’t just help individuals - we build stronger communities, ease pressure on health services, and create a better future for everyone.

Here’s to a world where everyone has the opportunity to live a good life - and to make life better for those around them too. 💛

Drop an emoji in the comments 👇 to show how you’re celebrating today! Tag a friend or colleague who’s on the social prescribing journey with you.
