๐Ÿง  Mental health is now the most common reason patients see their GP.

- 71% of GPs report psychological issues among their top three reasons for presentations
- this care is complex and takes time, with female GPs providing more of it
- Medicare rebates must better support longer and mental health consultations, so patients arenโ€™t hit with large outโ€‘ofโ€‘pocket costs.

Higher rebates will help patients access the care they need โ€” and support GPs to provide it.

Mask mandate has finally ended. However, RACGP recommends that if you have cold or flu like symptoms you should still wear a mask when going to high risk settings such as Healthcare and Aged care facilities.

From November 4, WA will transition away from a State of Emergency, marking a major milestone in the state's management of COVID-19.

Masks wearing, getting tested if unwell and avoiding high-risk settings until symptoms have cleared are still highly recommended.

As of today, mandatory isolation is no longer required, however anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or is experiencing symptoms is strongly encouraged to stay home.

๐Ÿ”บ Hospital staff and visitors are still required to stay away from public hospitals for 7 days after returning a positive COVID-19 test to protect the most vulnerable patients.

โ— Other rules may apply to high-risk settings including private hospitals, aged care and disability care facilities, so please call ahead before visiting.

Thank you and well done WA. Let's keep doing the right things to keep our community safe:

๐Ÿ”น Wash or sanitise your hands regularly

๐Ÿ”น Wear a mask as necessary

๐Ÿ”น Get tested if feeling unwell

๐Ÿ”น Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations

Remember, it's important to test if you have any symptoms.

Free RATs continue to be available at drive-through collection points, vaccination clinics, offices of Members of Parliament, regional testing clinics, and pop-ups.
