Lots of you have been asking for updates on Lindens vision and treatment. He is still completing vision training daily for another 10-12 weeks, hyperbaric oxygen therapy for 90 minutes daily for 5 more weeks and still has treatment round 2 to go.

Lindens results for far 10 weeks post treatment:

Visual acuity:

Right eye increased from 1,25 to 1,60
Left eye increased from 0,063 to 0,16

1,0 is 20/20 vision so anything higher than 1,0 is better than 20/20 and lower is less than.

Colour vision:

Right eye was already 17/17 so stayed the same
Left eye went from 12/17 to 17/17 so returned to normal colour vision

Contrast vision:

Right eye stayed the same at 1.65
Left eye increased from 1.05 to 1.50

Visual fields stayed the same between day 1 and day 9 and Visual fields were done on a different machine last week so it’s harder to compare (our regular Dr is on leave) our next round of visual fields in August will be back on the ZEISS.

Update from linden’s treatment

Hi everyone, They repeated all of the tests today. There was no change in his visual field but lots of improvement in visual acuity and other tests. I’ll send a more accurate update next week once we receive actual copies of his test results.

They said improvements should continue over the next 4 months at home with vision training (they do this remotely) with weekly follow-ups. Retest in Australia in 2 months.

Treatment has started with a lot of test but all going well. The doctor has drawn as to what he thinks linden will improve to but uncertain of the time that will happen. A few photos of his sight progress over the last couple of months
