Pain & injury aren’t the only reason you could need support in class!
⭐️Pregnant and Postpartum bodies are welcome in all of our classes, not just our Pre & Postnatal offerings - especially if you’ve been practicing prior to/during pregnancy. If you’re returning after baby, or have a Bub in the oven, keep us in the loop - especially as things can change week to week. We’d also love to confirm that you’ve seen a postnatal specialist/women’s health physio after birth (please do!).
⭐️Some injuries are no longer acute or painful but limit your mobility or range in some way. You might have years-old scar tissue or ligament damage that we can help you modify for, but isn’t necessarily in-recovery or pain-generating.
⭐️Your mental & emotional wellbeing matters. If you’ve haven’t slept well, if you’re feeling anxious, if you’re sensitive to incense, if this is your first class EVER, if you’re under a lot of stress right now, if you don’t have great hearing, if you’re feeling wobbly emotional, mentally, or physically, all of these will inform how we support you in our space.
⭐️If you’ve had a procedure & you don’t think exercise will affect it OR you’ve been fully cleared to return to exercise, we still want to know. Had a cesarean 8 weeks ago? Tell us. Fell off your bike 2 weeks ago? Had gastric sleeve, cosmetic surgery, melanoma removal, or a hernia in recent months? We may not need to change anything at all, but the bigger the picture we have of your wellbeing, the more we can take care of you as an individual.
⭐️Our software enables health flags & we use these for everything. Not only does telling your Instructor about more than “just injuries” mean we can truly take care of you in that moment, but we can also record our recommendations, or information you’ve given us, for future classes. Then our Instructors can plan appropriate classes when you book in, which is a powerful part of experiencing “tailored group fitness” classes - instead of “walk in & hope for the best” classes.
