Ever wondered what on earth fascia is??
Thanks to my wonderful tutor at In-Touch Education = Myofascial Release UK for sharing this infographic! 🙏
🔍✨ Fascia: A Dynamic Tissue? 🧬✨
FAascia is made up of fibers, cells, and a gel-like fluid. The fibers, primarily collagen, provide strength and flexibility. The cells, including fibroblasts, are thought to play a role in maintenance and repair.
The gel-like fluid, rich in hyaluronic acid, is believed to help with lubrication and shock absorption. There's an intriguing idea that fascia might sense and respond to various stimuli.
Some concepts hypothesise that fascia can learn and anticipate these sensations, adapting over time through learned behavior. This thought opens up new avenues for understanding how our bodies function and adapt.
