Noah has been having such a fun time discovering all the things the Library has to offer! From drawing self-portraits with his support worker to making faces with magnets and building with blocks and Lego, he’s been enjoying every moment of creativity and play.

The library is such a fantastic place to go. It’s more than just books. It’s a space for exploring new ideas, trying different activities, and engaging with the community in a safe and inspiring environment. Every visit is a little adventure, sparking imagination and curiosity 💛

We’re celebrating Azzaria and a wonderful step forward in her independence! Azzaria usually relies on a support worker to assist her in ordering food, but she recently did it all by herself. She is so proud of herself, sometimes the smallest steps can feel like the biggest achievements!

At Murray-Darling Supports, we know that independence doesn’t happen overnight. It’s about building confidence, encouraging choice, and celebrating every milestone, no matter how small. Each baby step is a huge victory, and we’re so proud of Azzaria for taking hers 💛

There’s something so powerful about a day spent outdoors 💛

Katrina recently enjoyed a beautiful day out in the sunshine with her support worker, Emma. Together they explored the gardens, took a gentle walk, and soaked up the fresh air and calm that comes from being surrounded by nature.

At Murray-Darling Supports, we value the importance of community connection and wellbeing. Time outdoors is not just a nice outing. It supports mental health, encourages movement, builds confidence, and creates space for meaningful conversations and moments of joy.

💙 Care in Action 💙

Last week, Brooke smashed her exercise goal, walking 1.6 km around Lock Island 😍

With it being such a lovely coolish morning, her support worker suggested they go for a walk. Brooke paused for a moment and said, “Okay, walking makes you strong.”

Her support worker agreed and reminded her that walking helps with feeling happy and is great for fitness too. And off they went 👏

At Murray Darling Supports, Care is one of our core values. Care means encouraging healthy choices, supporting independence, and walking alongside our participants as they build confidence and strength — one step at a time.

Due to the current wet weather conditions across our region, the safety of both our participants and support workers is our absolute priority.

Unfortunately, some of our team members are currently located in flooded areas and are unable to safely leave their homes. As a result, we are reviewing and amending rosters where required.

If your scheduled support is impacted, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss alternative arrangements. For supports that can safely proceed, they will continue as planned.

We truly appreciate your understanding and patience during this time. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns or urgent needs.

What a fantastic Melbourne adventure for Nathan, one of our Murray Darling Supports clients! 🌆✨

From the moment the trip began, it was full of exploration, independence and plenty of fun. Travelling by bus and train into the city, there was lots of excitement (and guessing the next stop along the way!).

Highlights of the trip included:

🚢 The Titanic Exhibition, an immersive and educational experience that was a definite favourite.
🧱 The LEGO & Star Wars Convention an absolute hit!
🏏 A tour of the iconic MCG and a visit through the museum.
🦁 Melbourne Zoo. Exploring all the enclosures right up until closing time.
🎮 Fortress Melbourne. Gaming, food and a great atmosphere.
🛍️ Shopping adventures at Melbourne Central, DFO and specialty hobby stores.
🏊‍♂️ Relaxing swims in the pool and spa to unwind after big days out.

There were plenty of delicious treats along the way too. From dumplings and pizza to sweet favourites like Krispy Kreme and sundaes. Most importantly, it was wonderful to see growing confidence in navigating the city, using public transport, choosing activities, managing spending, and trying new foods.

The trip was a great mix of fun, independence building, and well earned rest. Lots of laughs, new experiences, and memorable moments shared.

A huge thank you to our amazing Support Worker, Michelle for helping make this trip such a positive and empowering experience. 💙

We love seeing our clients out exploring, building confidence, and making lasting memories!
