🎉 Celebrating 40 Years of Mildura Health Private Hospital

Last week, we proudly celebrated 40 years of Mildura Health Private Hospital, marking four decades of dedication, growth, and exceptional healthcare for our region.

We were honoured to welcome members of the original Steering Committee, whose vision and commitment helped bring the hospital to life all those years ago. Their attendance was a special reminder of the history and heart behind MHPH.

A key moment of the evening was the official naming of our newly renovated theatres in honour of Dr Donald Hartley, acknowledging his significant contribution to the hospital and the community.

The event was filled with happiness, gratitude, and connection — and of course, the food was amazing, as always, thanks to our wonderful catering team.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this milestone celebration. Here’s to the next 40 years of caring for our community. 💛

Thank you to the 200+ community members who joined us on Saturday for our Community Open Day as part of Mildura Health Private Hospital’s 40‑year celebration.

Visitors enjoyed guided tours through the hospital, including:

🌿 The impressive Mildura Health Icon Cancer Centre
đź’™ And a look inside the Dr Julie Zrna Centre, a home for patients that require to travel while receiving cancer treatment at the Mildura Health Icon Cancer Center.

It was fantastic to share the progress, celebrate our history, and showcase the exciting future of local healthcare.

Monash University is extending world-class medical training in Mildura through the General Practice Pathway—a program designed for passionate health graduates who want to study local, stay local and make an impact where it matters most.

Monash University’s medical course is a leading source of the nation’s GPs. We are proud to expand our reach and provide more opportunities for people living in rural areas to study medicine close to home.

Mildura Health is also providing 10 x $10,000 scholarships to the 10 successful candidates to help with cost of living and other expenses.

Big news for our region! Mildura Health is proud to announce a $100,000 scholarship program to support the Monash Mildura General Practice Academy at the Monash University School of Rural Health Mildura. Ten scholarships worth $10,000 each will help local students complete a four-year medical degree starting right here in Mildura from February 2026.
