At Mildura Health Private Hospital, a positive attitude can make all the difference โ€” and Mezโ€™s energy is truly infectious. As a Patient Assistant and Cleaner, Mez has been part of the MHPH team for 25 years and is known for her bright spirit, strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed. Always smiling and ready for a chat, Mez is someone everyone looks forward to seeing each day.

Mez is a true all rounder, multitasking across the hospital to keep patient rooms and shared spaces clean, tidy and welcoming. From vacuuming to cleaning up broken glass and making sure everything is just right, Mez takes great pride in helping create a comfortable environment for patients and staff alike.

Hereโ€™s what Mez shared: ๐Ÿ’ฌ
โ€œIโ€™ll vacuum, clean, pick things up โ€” I just do everything to make sure the place is clean. I like to keep patient rooms tidy.โ€

Outside of work, Mez loves being busy in her garden โ€” her favourite place to be. Mez enjoys weeding, edging with a shovel, and spending time right in the heart of her garden, always working on something new. Being outdoors, getting her hands dirty and watching things grow is how she relaxes and recharges.

At Mildura Health Private Hospital, care doesnโ€™t stop at the bedside, it extends right into the kitchen. Today, weโ€™re proud to introduce Lisa, one of our Chefs in the kitchen and a much valued member of the MHPH team for the past four years.

Lisa plays a key role in preparing meals for patients every day, working across breakfast, lunch and dinner. From homemade soups and sauces to carefully prepared meals, Lisa and her team take pride in making everything from scratch โ€” because good food is an important part of healing.

Hereโ€™s what Lisa shared about her role: ๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œThis is a good job โ€” honestly, itโ€™s the best job Iโ€™ve ever had. The people are nice, the place is nice, and my manager is the best Iโ€™ve ever had. We make everything homemade, and I love knowing patients are getting proper, comforting meals.โ€

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and catching up with friends โ€” recharging so she can continue bringing care and warmth into the kitchen each day.

Weโ€™re grateful for Lisaโ€™s passion, positivity, and the heart she puts into every meal. ๐Ÿ’™

For Tracey, healthcare isnโ€™t just a career โ€” itโ€™s a calling sheโ€™s followed for decades. A Ward Clerk in Banksia and an Enrolled Nurse, Tracey has been nursing since 1987 and has spent the past 24 years caring for patients at Mildura Health Private Hospital.

Having worked at the old base hospital before joining MHPH, Tracey now balances both nursing and ward clerking โ€” a role that offers a different perspective while keeping her closely connected to patient care.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œI love working in Banksia because weโ€™re a really good team โ€” friendly, supportive, and we work well together. Iโ€™ve always wanted to be a nurse, and I truly love it. I also love ward clerking โ€” itโ€™s different, but Iโ€™m still very much part of the team.โ€

Outside of work, Tracey enjoys online shopping, collecting tattoos, lunch and coffee dates with girlfriends, and spending time with her two grandchildren.

Weโ€™re incredibly grateful for Traceyโ€™s dedication, versatility, and the warmth she brings to Banksia every day. ๐Ÿ’™
