Free Measles vaccination now available

Measles is highly contagious, but vaccination is a simple and effective way to protect yourself and those around you.

Two doses of the MMR vaccine are the best way to protect yourself, your family, and the community.

Who is eligible?
Adults aged 20–60 years (born during or after 1966) without two documented MMR doses may be eligible for a free vaccination as part of this program.
No Medicare card is required.

How do I check my vaccination records?
Vaccination records can be checked online through the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).

Is it safe to get a measles vaccine when you can’t remember if you have had one before?
It is safe to have another MMR vaccine unless you are someone who should not normally have an MMR vaccine.

Ever taken a sip from your water bottle and thought… “hmm, tastes a bit *off*?” 👀

You’re not imagining it. Your drink bottle can become a mini hotspot for bacteria if it’s not cleaned regularly. Even if you’re only filling it with water, germs from your mouth, hands, and the environment build up faster than you think.

🦠 What can happen?
Unwashed bottles can carry bacteria that may lead to bad breath, stomach upsets, or even infections, especially if you’re using them daily.

The good news? It’s an easy fix!
✔️ Wash your bottle with warm soapy water every day
✔️ Don’t forget the lid and straw
✔️ Let it air dry completely
✔️ Give it a deeper clean a few times a week
