This newsletter could have been an email…
But there is something poetic and powerful about it existing in physical form.
When something is printed, held, placed on a shelf - it takes on a life of its own. It carries a longevity that the online space rarely allows. An email is opened, maybe read or skimmed through, and within days it disappears into the ether, rarely to be revisited again.
But this printed newsletter - this gets to live.
It sits in the studio for the month, waiting to be picked up. It’s taken home, placed on a bedside table, tucked into a bag, or found again at the bottom of a drawer weeks, months, even years later. Maybe someone who has never even stepped into the studio will come across it one day and feel something stir as they read.
There is a different frequency in something physical. A different kind of connection. It becomes a little artefact - a moment in time, captured and held.
Each newsletter holds my musings on the theme of the month, a mantra, a mudra, and the rhythm of what’s unfolding in the studio.
And I keep a copy for myself too, so that one day I can look back and trace the evolution - the seasons, the growth, the subtle shifts over time.
Because this way, it doesn’t get lost. It doesn’t need to be searched for. It reappears when it’s meant to.
It could have been an email…
But in its printed form, it becomes something more beautiful and lasting.
☀️☀️ If you have been in the studio, do you love receiving the monthly newsletter?
