Finalising a central fabricated AFO today complete with a Triple Action joint. The Triple Action Joint provides this client with a smoother gait by providing a controlled resistance from heel contact through to foot flat and again into dorsiflexion from mid to terminal stance

Patient spotlight 🌟 Rob has picked up kayaking in the last 12 months with no prior experience, to support his partner while he makes his way down the Murray over 3 months. This is Rob after a 20km paddle at Loxton- he is on the home stretch now! What an achievement 👏🏻 🛶

After 5 months of waiting for funding approval, Sharon finally has her very own Taska hand! Her excitement about this finally arriving is what it’s all about. We will need to watch out for her at our next Easter egg hunt!

Brand new partial foot prosthesis complete with carbon fibre footplate and covered in black leather to blend into footwear.
This helps restore the clients toe lever, fill out the shoe and facilitate a controlled rollover while walking.

A brand new custom leafspring AFO for Ann who attended with a right sided foot drop. Having previously had off the shelf AFOs she wanted something with higher trim lines for added support.

She’s now able to clear her right toes with each step and control her landing and roll over with her new AFO 👏🏻

After 7 weeks we say goodbye to our prosthetic student Kingsley! It has been a pleasure imparting knowledge and clinical skills and we look forward to welcoming you into the P&O community at the end of the year.
A special thanks to Bud for allowing Kingsley to go from cast all the way through to fitting his definitive socket this morning to end his placement on a high note!!

From old to new! This is a recent replacement of a transhumeral prosthesis complete with a threedee flex hand and a custom accented silicone glove completed by the talented . The client was super excited that we were able to get a much closer match to their sound side shape and skin tone and we were happy to be part of the process!

The other week we had some of our clinicians participate in training with OPC on the launch of the Glide System from Infinite Biomedical Technologies!

Dr. Rahul Kaliki led a hands-on session showcasing how Glide bridges the gap between direct control and pattern recognition, offering precise, intuitive control via an easy-to-use app with real-time feedback.
