There was someone online recently, who was seeking out some help to remove some ear wax. I mentioned candling and then had a few people, telling me that candling didn't work. And what came out of the candle was just the candle wax.. So this is what I've found after a few years of ear candling my own ears, my families ears and my clients ears...
π― Some candles only produce a white (sometimes yellowy tinged) powder.
While some produce thick wax or even really hardened and dark rocks of wax.
The white powder is usually from people who candle or clean their ears often, so that is mainly the residue of the candle itself.
The yellow tinged powder, was usually from fluid that was trapped in the ear, from swimming etc. So residue from the candle with a bit of ear fluid.
And the yellow clumps were most definitely built up wax inside of the ear canal. Those rock hard pieces, often being wax that has been stuck in the inner ear for quite some time.
ππ» Usually the people who have persistent sinus issues, produce THE MOST wax, after a candling session. You can guarantee, if you have sinusitis, a post nasal drip, vertigo, a deviated septum or any other sinus issues- your candle will be full.
ππ» You might find that one ear is giving you more trouble. That has been a regular issue with me, due to a completely deviated septum, that sits to one side. So I find it get much more out of one ear, than I do the other.
π₯° This process is painless, relaxing, safe and easy to start clearing and moving along all those fluids in your ears, nose and throat. You can buy them at the chemist for yourself but for safety reasons, please don't do it for yourself!
I offer this as a service, along with a sinus massage, to help clear everything!
π€ If you've done it before and had only ashy stuff and not felt any relief- you may have been doing it wrong. If the candle doesn't have a sealed connection to your ear drums, it may not have been able to suck it up properly. If your candle did have lots of waxy stuff and you didn't feel any sort of relief, you need to do it again π
I swear by it and so do my clients! π
