We specialise in assessment and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders, however, we also see children with a range of other delays. We have 2 locations - Mill Park and Wallan, and also offer home/school/kinder visits. We are a registered FaHCSIA and NDIS provider. Medicare and Private Health rebates available on the spot after your consultation for your convenience.

🧠 Repetitive vs Functional Language what’s the difference?

You might hear a child say things like “C is for cat” or “A is for apple.” While this shows what they’ve learned, it’s known as repetitive language and it doesn’t always help them express their needs or connect with others

Functional language, on the other hand, includes everyday phrases like “Can I have more please?” or “Hi, my name is…” that support communication in daily life
